I create work that draws directly from the tangible images of the world around me to works that spring from an inner spiritual search. Like life, my creative endeavours are an endless learning process that is often surprising and always rewarding. My creative impulse is guided by my desire to express the beauty and form of everyday life.  My interest in photography allows for a diverse range of subject that best expresses my aims.

My interest in photorealism is as philosophical as it is aesthetic. By labouring over such detailed works I increase my capacity for awareness of the tiny details that comprise the fabric of existence, an experience, I believe is mirrored in the viewer’s mind. The clarity presented in these paintings leads the viewer to a heightened appreciation of the myriad nuances of life.
